Thought I forgot about this, didn’t ya? Yeah, you did, go on and admit it. But….ha ha ha ha….I haven’t forgotten…oh no, my friend…not even close!
It takes more than an ice storm, 19 1/2 days without Internet service, 3 kids, 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 major holidays to distract ME!
As a matter of fact, I had selected The Prayer of Jabez for my Day to Read, but thanks to the ice storm, I’ve read it already. Excellent choice, though, for those of you still selecting. You can definitely read it in one evening, too.
Now that I’ve joined Blog365, I will be posting on the 10th, but will make it short so as to keep the focus on being OFF the computer that day.
So as my search/selection process continues, tell me – have you decided what you’re going to read? If so, please leave a comment and tell me. I’m always up for book recommendations!
what the heck, I’m the only commentee? Don’t people read anymore? 🙂
I’m also from Tulsa, grew up there, but now live elsewhere. I miss Tulsa and still have family there.
Have you read Eat,Pray,Love by Elizabeth Gilbert? It’s an interesting read. Since you read the prayer of Jabez I’m not sure what your religious affiliation is but the Gilbert book is steeped in eastern spirituality. I’m christian and was able to enjoy the book despite her views.
Another good one; The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls..VERY GOOD! I’m also on Blog365..good luck!
I’m going to do it, I just haven’t decided what it will be yet.
Happy New Year, Suzanne!
You can definitely read it in one evening, too.
oh no, my friend…not even close!
I’m up to my neck in books right now, I need more time.
