Neither did I.
He WAS in it, but the camera panned so quickly through the group, we didn’t actually see HIM. This is Spy Nephew who lives in Maryland and is 16 (son of Spy Sister – “Spy” because both my sister and her husband work for the NSA and can’t talk about their jobs – for real. We call them SPYS-R-US, collectively.) He was part of the Macy’s Great American Marching Band…in the trumpet section. Two musicians from each state and the District of Columbia are selected. Yeah – the boy can blow!
This afternoon, instead of being subjected to the Dallas Cowboys (America’s football team – MY ASS!) we got our football fix by watching “We Are Marshall“. Didn’t know this, but my aunt was a Marshall graduate, and worked with some of the football coaching staff, and remembers (like it was yesterday) the whole event. Lots of life lessons in that movie – definitely recommend it, even if you’re not a football fan.
Ho bad luck. Hope we can see him next time. Thanks for sharing.
